Buhla's 4th gen

Sup, guys. I recently just bought a '94 to update from my '89. It's 4ws. It has 217,000 miles on the body, an H22 with 78,000 on it, and a 5-speed H23 transmission with 45,000 miles. It's at a great starting point for me due to a college budget. The rust is pretty minimal for being in the northeast its whole life. I picked it up for $2000. Took us about 20 minutes to get it onto the tow dolly. I have named her Sasha.

Car has:

Leather
EL Cluster
NRG steering wheel
Skunk2 coilovers
XXR 501 rims
Accord rims
Wings west replica front lip
Another front lip
Accord rear lip
Muffler (not sure the brand)

I am thinking about replacing the muffler with my vibrant muffler from my 3rd gen. I am also going to put my JVC head unit from my 3rd gen and put it in the 4th.

I also have to fix the tachometer. It doesn't work. Most of the time the needle will stay at 0. Other times, it will go up to 4k for no reason.

The tires will need replacing. The wear is really bad on the inside.

I don't have any specific plans for it yet, but right now I just want to give it some tlc to make her clean. I'm not putting it on the road until I'm out of school for the Summer or until I sell my 3rd gen. That being said, my updates will be slacking for a while. Oh! and I eventually want to install keyless entry.

PICTURES PICTURES PICTURES!!!!!

My two cars (for now)

At its new home :)

Some rust

Looks nice! I like the leather. You've definitely got your work cut out for you if you plan on fixing that rust. Looks like a nice fun project car to work on. Just some tlc should keeping it nice for a while

Thanks. The leather is in okay shape but I don't expect it to be great with 217k miles on the body. You should see the rust on my 3rd gen hahaha. This is nothing compared to that.

I may be getting a job at an all-Honda car shop over the Summer so I'll be gaining knowledge and getting money to put towards the car. I hope I get it!

haha it's a bit high ...not too bad though. I'll probably be changing it sometime. I like the leather a lot. I have to stitch up a few spots in the front.

Re: Buhla's 4th gen

Yo! It's Buhla. I have changed my username to Ferris. I haven't updated you guys at all on what I've been doing, and I'm terribly sorry. I haven't been doing any major mods to it since I've bought it. I have only been doing maintenance mostly. I'm kind of in a hurry to get to the gym so I'll keep this short. I'll upload pictures another time. Maybe later.

I still haven't fixed the 4WS issue. On start-up, the light will be off and shortly come on when I start driving. However, that wasn't the cause of the rear-play issue. The rear outer tie rod ends were ****ed and I replaced them, solving the issue.

The ABS light is on and I failed at pulling the correct codes somehow. I'll try again another time.

My car was hit twice while parked up at school. My brother's neighbor is a detailer and cleaned up some of the damage for free!

My power steering return hose exploded. Fixed that.

Rust ate through my exhaust and I stupidly drove it until it fell off while I was driving. That was fun. My dad's coworker welded it back for me. A few months later another hole developed. Before that fell off, I started to fix it. It took me 4 hours to cut out 3 bolts. I was waiting for a while for my dad's coworker to get back to me. Waiting and Waiting. The car was on jackstands for about a month. My old coworker at the car shop mentioned that he had pulled an exhaust from a 94 h22 a while ago and should bolt right up (how coincidental is that?) He had it in sitting in storage with no intention of using it so he gave it to me. I got my car to his house, we put it on his lift and welded a new flange onto the exhaust to ensure fit. The muffler is DC but I'm not sure of the model. I'll post a picture later to see what you guys think it is, but, now, Sasha is now back on the road!

While waiting to hear back from my dad's coworker I finally, since owning the car, decided to install the rear accord lip. It really does make such a huge difference. It looks lower and more aggressive ...perfect for the cops.

As I've stated earlier, I'll make another post with pictures.

Re: Buhla's 4th gen

I remember all the flex pipe fun I had when the original developed a hole and I sounded like a sick lawnmower when leaving red lights. Then I got it fixed with some parts store brand and it happened again.
Exhaust problems are never manly. Can't wait to upgrade.

Waiting on exhaust porn pics!
