Spring/Shock Advice Needed Please!
Alright here I am again for some input and advice. As some may know my car is a daily and I try to keep things as cheap as possible. My shocks are warn and the springs are to soft for my taste so I'm thinking of replacing them. My question is what do you guys have experience with?
My spring options are K Sport, Skunk 2, or Tanabe Shocks I'm in between KYB or Tokico Blues I know what works for Integra/Civic's but Prelude doesn't seem to like the same things. So I'm hoping you fine gentlemen can lend some helpful advice. |

Re: Spring/Shock Advice Needed Please!
tanabe would be the best of those 3
Ive heard good things about kyb and tokico so both should be ok..depends about the use of course

Re: Spring/Shock Advice Needed Please!
Its true the Koni yellows with ground control coils is a great setup if you have the $, I have had mine for about 3 months and the ride is great.

Re: Spring/Shock Advice Needed Please!
Typically I'd agree but he told us he wanted to keep it cheap and it is a daily driver.
I'd say KYB but what exact shocks? AGX? I've had good luck with Tanbe springs but the Skunk2 seem to be chosen more in the Prelude market. Koni/GC coilover set up will cost you in the area of $1200 while a simple shock spring combo will run you more between $500-600. If you did coilovers though I would suggest a full body coilover vs a Koni/GC type coilover.

Koni yellow/eibach pro kit is my favorite, go kyb gr2 if you are trying to keep the budget down. If you are wanting an improvement in the corners try the neuspeed front strut tower bar, with the suspension it will really shine

koni and ground controls are good i agree with that but kinda expensive but its good ride quality. i had them on my old integra Da and ran drag on it.

Re: Spring/Shock Advice Needed Please!
Monroe sensatracs and h&r 1.5" drop springs.
Cheapest setup ever, will actually hold its own. DDs are not track cars, or should double as one when equipped with oem like parts. Fast. Cheap. Reliable. You can only choose 2.

Re: Spring/Shock Advice Needed Please!
Function and Form Type 1 would be a very reliable and inexpensive (for what they are).
If you can dish out around $630 bucks I say go for them. Full body coilover system. 1BadBB6 runs them and I used to run the Type 2.5. Otherwise... What I said earlier or what Sideswipe SI just said is your best option.
