Anyone running a 30mm lower front sway ?

Im afraid I would get some major understeer with a 30mm.

On stock 4th gens the front lower sway bar comes 25mm and the rear lower sway is 23mm... I want to improve on that, but I dont want to throw my cash at a 30mm bar and actually lose performance.. Which is what makes me wonder if any of you guys are having success with a bar that size.... Oh, and its chromoly and hollow which makes it even more rigid than most the same size.

I'd have to run the same size or bigger for the rear, seems like overkill, what are the drawbacks to stiff sways on a DD ? Will I lose it faster in the rain ?

Thanks

You need to get a bigger Rear sway bar. It will help cure the understeer that our cars are plagued with.
Id leave the front alone.

Re: Anyone running a 30mm lower front sway ?

Yessir, I got that FF factor down now for sure, Im just thinking when does alot turn into too much ? although I do want my rear wheel to raise up and scare the townsfolk once in a while
Right, so, if I was to go to something like 28mm (front) and 30/32mm rear.. I know the handling would probably work out to be good with all the other parts that will tie in to the suspension. I just dont want to go ripping out mounts and brackets while driving, or break endlinks (I cant find any beefed up ones for our Ludes... only Del Sols and s2000's, are they compatible with ludes ?). Ive looked on Ingalls' site, but havent found anything...

Thats my dilemma :( Sway bars come in all sizes, materials, densities, prices, some are adjustable, and they are available no problem. I just dont know what is too big. Which is why I havent ordered sway bar bushings yet.. Not much hardware is provided for our cars, I mean I'm upgrading to urethane all around and I'm left wondering if I even have to upsize my lower front bar, this car is street driven not track, but I want to be able to go track it if I want to. maybe ill just get the same size front with a bigger or same size rear. For the same size as present, hollow Chromoly is super light and very rigid. Maybe I'll go 25mm Front and 27mm Rear as a start and see how it goes.
Im just worried about endlinks, maybe ill get them new from honda, and slip the urethane's onto them...
In other very awesome news tho, I did find lower control arm bushings that Superpro makes for us, I love me some Superpro ! Unfortunately thats all they make for prelooo....

--You think our lower sways come too big on purpose from factory, just to save people from themselves ? Maybe even go 23mm Front... hmmm did Honda GIVE us over steer ?

If you're going to use a big rear bar you have to custom make beefier endlinks. There's a bunch of how-to's floating around for it. They even have parts lists that tell you what you need to buy and how to put everything together. I'm sure you can find the DIY on Honda-Tech or PreludeOnline.
