4th gen. Where is the best place to hide NOS

I live in canada. I dont know about america, but NOS here is highly illegal. Its illegal to transport and illegal to have hooked up to your car on the street.

If you want to go to the track to use it, you have to call some number and give them a bunch of info.

So, where is the best place to hide Nos in a 4th gen.

i'd probably pull the spare tire, and hide it down there, under the rear carpet.

It has to be somewhere where they wont look. The cops will check the trunk for sure if they suspect anything.

crawl under your dash on passener side and take a look under there. if you move some stuff around it might fit behind the glove box.
get a small bottle tho.

Re: 4th gen. Where is the best place to hide NOS

If running a spray system on the street is illegal up there, you should follow those laws. Just keep your bottle at home until track night. But of course... some nitrous brand make kits small enough to conceal just about anywhere, like this one.

Holley Performance Products Sneeky Pete Hidden Nitrous System*05029NOS

It says carbureted only though, but I'm sure someone makes a similar one for our applications. Just an example.

Re: 4th gen. Where is the best place to hide NOS

The 4th gen, with it's unique large rear fender wells, provides ample space for a bottle or two of Nitrous Oxide. (NOS is a name brand) Simply remove the trim panel behind the right rear strut- you'll see.

Re: 4th gen. Where is the best place to hide NOS

I'm in Ontario too, A buddy of mine has nitrous in his car at all times.
He told me when he got pulled over the cop said it is legal to carry as long as it is not hooked up, and since you are carrying it all the time you have to have identification like a NOS sticker showing that it is in the car ( I think if it goes up in flames they know it has nitrous)
They might have new laws now though, because where I am from our Insurance and ministry of transportation (DMV) goes hand and hand with the cops, and by insurance standards you cannot have any nitrous whatsoever

I think the bottom line is, if the cops a dick your getting a ticket. period.

This is a really good idea and made me remember having my front bumper and fenders off. If you're not all that attached to your windshield wiper fluid, there was a decent amount of space in that area too, and a lot of engine bay access points.

Re: 4th gen. Where is the best place to hide NOS

I don't know what Ontario and its laws are like in comparison to BC, but I know for a fact that you can have N2O in your car as long as it it not connected, and if you did get pulled over, you could just bull**** that it's not connected, odds are they'll have no clue. And secondly, a police officer can't ask you to pop your trunk if you're just getting pulled over for speeding, they need a warrant. And if you are speeding, 9/10 they aren't going to even think about you having a N2O system they're just going to give you a speeding ticket and be on their way. So in the trunk should be fine, but if you really wanted to be conspicuous about it I'd hide it in between a sub box in the trunk and your rear seat, that way you can access it easily enough from the inside of your car by dropping the rear seat to remove it when you need to fill it up.

Personally I would not want a N2O bottle in the engine bay or hidden behind the fenders of my car, if you got into an accident that could get really messy.

put it in the little coin holder by the sunroof switch. great spot for a switch. you don't want the bottle anywhere that it could be damaged in a wreck,
