Okay, so here is my situation. I fixed a lot of the broken wires.

These have no opposite connector, where do they go and what do they do?

The brown one

Two smaller grey ones, larger grey one and brown one

These weren't plugged into anything. So my question is, where do they go, what do they do, what do they plug into, etc.

It appears like I am missing an entire section of my wiring harness for that section...

Also, these are under the center air conditioning unit near where my stereo would go in. Also, there are no wires going to where my heated seat switch goes in for the driver's side. The passenger side is good, but the left has no plug to go into the switch nor wires even leading up to it anywhere. Confused.

I took my valve cover off to paint, is this bad?

There appears to be oil on my spark plug. Don't know what this means, I am kind of a noob when it comes to this... I was planning on replacing my spark plugs anyways when I replace my spark plug wires. Also we found that one of the gaskets on the valve cover looks like it could be leaking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need help fast! (Wiring + valves)

The first two connectors (blue and yellow ones) get plugged into their respective connections in your 4th pic, the blue and grey connectors. These connectors don't really NEED to be plugged in, since the connectors that are mounted to the car (4th pic) aren't even wired, they simply hold the first two connectors from going anywhere.
Those first two connectors are what you jump with a paperclip in order to retrieve CEL/ABS codes.

Brown plug; what you plug a relay into for the factory fog lights. If you don't have the factory fog lights.... don't worry about it.

Those three gray ones.... I'm not POSITIVE, but I think one of them may plug into the main relay.

Since you have the VC off, you might as well replace all those gaskets, especially since you think one may be leakig. Get a VC gasket kit FROM HONDA!!!! Not ebay!!
It should include a VC gasket, 4 spark plug hole gaskets, and all the washer/grommets to hold the VC down.

This is exactly the kind of help that I needed. Thank you.

Would they have the gasket kit at a Honda dealership or would I have to order it online?

One last thing, there is a plug on the other side with four wires, two of them were used for LED's, could I use these four to power my heated seat?

Re: Need help fast! (Wiring + valves)

Honda dealer is good, but if you're in no hurry, somewhere like majestic or ushonda parts costs less.
Check with your local dealer via phone for a price. You may find that the s&h from majestic etc would end up taking away the savings from the dealer cost.

Here's a link to a service manual that should have all those wires listed.

Yeah. Shipping is always more since I am up in Canada too. I found an OEM set on eBay for $35... Comes with the valve cover gasket and the grommets for the spark plugs, which I really only need.

Also I love you for linking that manual

Thank you! I've been wondering what that brown plug was for.

Re: Need help fast! (Wiring + valves)

im not sure what motor you have, but i found one for a prelude si (h23?) for $32 on majestic honda link

if you look it up for your car, it is under "cylinder head cover" in the parts list, then it should be listed as "gasket set, head cover"

I'm 99% positive that's what it's for. As long as that's the one that's blue-taped to the steering column, that's the one for the fog relay.
