Koni yellow + GC Eibach

I bought a kit koni yellow + Eibach ground control (own for KONI). Before installing I've been doing some research and realized that the criclips Some had problems and even life threatening (the circplis loose). My doubt is: That's an isolated case or mounting kits wrong with wrong? Or use koni has such a high risk?

I thought about selling and buying Tokico Illumine + GC Eibach. The tokicos are better?
Thanks and sorry my english.

Re: Koni yellow + GC Eibach

I've never heard of the circlips failing. I've had Koni yellows and GC sleeves on my car for 2 years now, no problems.

Ok. I'll still trust Koni before I'll trust 90% of the other companies that make shocks for our cars. You can find horror stories about any product so I wouldn't let it worry you.

Re: Koni yellow + GC Eibach

For the number of racers I know that use Konis none of them have failed. Just make sure they are seated in all the way and you will be fine.

If they do fail the spring perch will fall and the car will ride on the bump stop. Nothing major, the car would still be drivable.

Re: Koni yellow + GC Eibach

its all about the installation, if somebody half assed something, what can go wrong will. if somebody gives it there all to make sure its installed properly, and is 100% secure, then chances are slim of something going wrong. well known companies didnt get there name by making cheap easily failing products, so i would say you are safe to use them. as long as you or whoever you have install them, installs them properly.
