Some D-bag is gonna cut you off missing their exit, or speed up the shoulder because it's the unofficial HOV lane, or random I dropped my ______ and need to brake hard now to pick it up and F--- everyone behind me because the law is on my side. I can go on.

I did this with a My current toy that has a MUCH heavier clutch, always left two car spaces which meant the whole borough of Queens can cut in front of me, then slam their brakes because they misjudged themselves and once again I was in the body shop, not my fault. Or tailgate and hope I don't tap anybody because they'll get out of the car wearing a full body cast complaining I gave them whiplash, at 0.75mph. There's no prize money or finish line, but people drive that way regardless.

So what's wrong with a 6-speed TSX with a useable trunk and 2 additional leather seats? Sunroof and awsome sound system? A classic looking car with prelude likeness? SPACE for a Sound system? I haven't congratulated you on your S2000 purchase did I? My bad I like white.

Franky, you get whatever car you want, right now the pickins are great! Turbos, V8's and high end Honda are just the right price man, although a 5th gen would be good too. If you lucked out and have a quiet scenic route to work, S2K is the next step from a prelude.
Lol I wasnt saying you were right or wrong saying it was poor. Just asked if you had experience dd'ing one. Its not extremely pleasant. To be honest. No room (Has its benefits), and very low just stock.

But for me just getting in it and going is a reward that outweighs the rest.

Lol I was not looking for a congratulations, its not a very desirable dd. But I dont think I would ever suggest against it, its just not practical

Re: crashed my car :'(

Some people even on here get all chewed up over opinions Codyh. If you're sharing the road with aggressive drivers, any experience just sucks, rush hour amplifies it. I've dd a 3rd gen with 1.70" off the ground, that doesn't really bother me.

I only offer my advice to not DD a S2000, buy a 98-2002 Altima as a beater and leave your dream car at home. Between being distracted about getting to work and rush hour, why risk the sexy car? Franky run with the loot and get a 500-1000 car and start saving up for your next car!!!

Ahh yes perfect example some dumb ****ing bitch almost rear ended me then proceeded to ride my ass. I pulled into the left turning lane, as they passed i came back out and got behind them. I know they were freaking out. Because I had to follow them a decent ways to get to my house.

a bit off topic but to support what sideswipe says here, driving a beater is fun too cuz you can brake check tailgaters. was going down a steep hill once and this big truck was so close all i could see was his grill. used my sideviews to check if anyone was behind him and when i saw there wasnt, i stomped my brake pedal for a second and a half. dude kept his distance after that.
dont ever do that unless your sure you can pin it on them though. and make sure its in an old car. theyre stronger than the new ones. had a parking incident once where all i got was some paint transfer while the other persons 1 year old Xb got a scrape and dent all across both doors

good advice everyone. Now I am reconsidering DD a s2000. I guess I could get a regular car (no altima) and save for a really great car I've always wanted *cough EVO X.

I'll let you all know this week when I find out.

I just said altima because it's a low maintenance car. I'd say a civic hatch HX if you can find one and dd that. Not super expensive either.

Re: crashed my car :'(

Since I'm relatively a new driver (less than a year), I look forward to DD'ing to and from work everyday. The prelude is all I need and I don't have to beat it when I DD. I granny shift a lot when I DD. If people don't like it, w/e, go around me.

Just know that if you're gonna DD an S2000, you'll be sacrificing comfort/bit of "luxury" (which I guess would fall under comfort)/your ride as you swerve around potholes/dings, scratches, rock chips/cheap repairs/5-0 lookouts/etc.

I bought my car to drive it all day err day 'till the wheels fall off. I'm not storing nuttin'! :P

Personal preference, financial status, and all that, make sure you take into account.

PS - Sideswipe, I agree with all your comments. I'm just giving the man my thoughts on the subject.

Op, hope you make a choice you'll be happy with, that's all that matters

What's so bad about full coverage on a 20 year old car? Few dollars more.

I don't even wanna know how much full coverage would be on my ride. I pay like $145 a month liability only! Baltimore jacks up the price cause there's so much crime in the city, it's straight BS.

I told 'em I got LoJack and they wouldn't bring the price down cause they said it counts as an alarm (anti-theft device). Like, uh.. right.. sigh..

I don't think it'd be a "few dollars more" for me, lol
