Seat Problems!

I'm still a little new to the prelude forum, I have been a very active participant in the forum for my Chevy Cobalt, but this one is a little different!

Just have a couple of questions about seats!
I have a 96 Prelude, and I bought a set of 2000 Prelude seats. I took out my passenger seat and set the 2000 seat in it's place to see if they would fit. The bracket is just a teeny tiny bit too long. Like literally one inch. I was wondering if anyone had done this before, and if I could do it with little to no modifications?
I don't mind my 96 seats at all, they are comfortable and in REALLY great shape. But these 2000 seats are MINT and they are even more comfortable than the 96 seats. I was kinda looking to put them in the 96 before I try selling them, I'd much rather sell my 96 seats. I have been recently using the 2000 seats as movie seating in my living room. Don't get me wrong, it's great, but I'd kind of like to get them in the car. :)

I'd appreciate any help any of you can give me!!! Thanks!!

Re: Seat Problems!

I believe most people swap the rails from the prelude seats onto the s2k seats

Re: Seat Problems!

If its only an inch longer then either swap rails as im sure you can do or just drill a hole into the seat bracket. Unless you mean that the 96car bracket is an inch longer then it might squire more modification. Especially since you're wanting to sell the 96 ones then you'd have to leave the rails on them

Re: Seat Problems!

Okay guys he didn't say he has s2k seats hes got seats from a 2000 prelude. So fifth gen seats. Well man I did an s2k seat swap into my 96 but I'm sure if you wanted to put 5th gen lude sets in it would be the same as far as work that needs to be done. You will have to swap out the seat pans and rails from your current seats. This is going to make it pretty hard for you to sell them Afterwards.
