Icon5 Flowmaster on a prelude?

I'm wanting to get rid of the rusted out stock exhaust on my car, only thing is, I dont have $500 to drop of a cat back. I work part time at a local AutoZone and Im able to get a Flowmaster for under $80. My question is....is it worth it and if so, what series would you recommend??

Re: Flowmaster on a prelude?

While you are at it, make sure you get some of those Chevy shaped tips.
JK, I have been looking for a catback within my budget as well and have decided on OBX. After speaking with others, it seems to be a good system without the high sticker price.
While I am unsure if they have complete catback for 4th gen cars, I do see they have some nice twin loop mufflers for around $90 on ebay OBX Twin Loop Universal Mugen Style Exhaust Muffler ALL Cars | eBay

Re: Flowmaster on a prelude?

shipping is a killer... I'm thinking about just getting the main parts and taking it to a shop to get new piping installed.

Re: Flowmaster on a prelude?

Lol not magnaflow he's asking bout flowmaster lol, but yeah it really depends on the muffler I know my flowmaster has a nice crisp sound to it not sure if you will get gains I know I did nut that's cause the previous pipe was a getto rigged pos and I had no back pressure. So its really pick and choose but I say go for it .

Don't do flowmaster on honda's. its best to do magnaflow. Besides the 40 series is made more for the american cars than for imports. I know its 40 series because its the only flowmaster we stock on the autozones here that aren't are Hub store.
