it happens to turn on when I brake for a speed bump also when i do a hard turn
im not leaking brake fluid and just replace my brake cylinder an guesses why it turns on

Re: brake light on

Check your brake reservoir bottle. Might be slightly low and everytime you apply the brakes and pushes pressure back into the bottle and/or when you're braking while turning that the fluid level tilts and triggers the sensor. Also look along the brake lines and check to see if there's any moisture to determine if you have a leak from the lines or not.

Re: brake light on

You can shut the brake warning light up by grounding it off. See the how to below

Disable 4G 'Brake Lamp' warning light - Wiki-Lude | The UK Honda Prelude Club | Lude Generation

This worked for me after one of my rear sensors developed a fault and the light came on after I touched the brake pedal.

that link lead to the upper control arm for the front suspension... upper control arm wouldn't cause that problem.

wouldn't do this. you have warning lights for a reason. ignoring them is when things go wrong. god forbid the day someone cuts your break lines or you develop a leak, you'll know before it's to late.

this is pretty much your answer. since you just had your BMC replaced, i would check around that area for leaks.

Re: brake light on

I do take your point. However since my light comes on and I know there isnt a fault I will certainly know when there is a problem with my brakes before the stupid sensor does . And if the brake probelm is so catastrophic so to endanger your life, a little light on the dash is going to do nothing for you.

Re: brake light on

means your fluid is low. refill it. and it probably wouldn't hurt to bleed them.
