Suspension suggestions

Hi, I've got a 94 Honda Prelude si(h23a1).

I was just wondering what coilovers to choose from. This is my first car, and I haven't had any experience with the brands of coilovers I'm planning on getting, or any coilovers for that matter.
I'm thinking about function and form type 2's, D2 Racing, or Yellow speed/yellow dps? coilovers. Main purpose would be to lower the car a lot, but still have a smooth ride as it is my DD.

Any input is appreciated.

Re: Suspension suggestions

Budget-wise I'd say no more than 900, That's already pushing it.

Re: Suspension suggestions

if this is your first rodeo with lowering or any suspension work, then i'd say go with function and form type 1s. they'll do the job at an attractive price

Re: Suspension suggestions

you could always just get a set of skunk2 coilovers with a nice set of adjustable struts for around 500 all together.

Re: Suspension suggestions

Thanks for all your input! I was thinking about megan racing, but I wasn't sure. not many reviews, Yeah I've heard a lot about the koni yellow/gc sleeve ? i think. They have combo's they're selling but I just wasn't sure. I've been looking for around, and Idk I just narrowed it down to those, I was really considering the koni/gc, but It seemed complicated for some reason. I've never installed coilovers, not very mechanically inclined, as this is my car lol.

You are looking into some expensive stuff considering you're just looking to lower the car while still having a good ride...

overall, over the years... this has been the consensus...

or, if you were running out of money like me it might be your choice of sport spring (or just cut them, ...j/k) on some kyb agxes.... great if you don't need the adjustable height of coilovers... you could still try the Konis... I really like my Neuspeed Sport springs as well (on agxes)...

when we're talking about such expensive purchase, IMO its wiser to get good product instead of getting crap
little bit cheaper. wastes your money

True, true. Yeah well maybe I should reconsider the good ride part. That doesn't matter as much. Just good handling with lowering the car. and Yeah Idk I was kinda not trying to spend more than 900 on the coilovers, But I'll think about those mentioned above.

Re: Suspension suggestions

You need to focus on the general use for your car.
If you are only going to be daily driving it with a little spirited driving here and there then I don't suggest anything you've mentioned to be honest.

they use BC racing in track cars as well. and they have won championships.
Like Duncan Graham won time attack series with Impreza which had their suspension
