Headlight problems

Im having problems with me headlight and turn signal switch, the switch is getting power to it but the headlight fuses are not getting any power from the fuse box, there is no power from the headlights back to the fuse box, can anyone give me any suggestions on what it might be?

Re: Headlight problems

you said, the switch is getting power. but is power leaving the switch? another question, did the headlights and turn signals stop working at the same time? other things you can check is the relay. make sure power is going to it and coming from it.

Re: Headlight problems

Beaker is suggesting the switch has left the building. When you checked your headlights, did you check for your taillights? If they turn on its the assembly switch. If they don't, replace/reseat the fuse for lights.

Sounds like its the switch to me too. If you can trace the color wires from under the dash to the switch, tap the lines with all light controls off. If any light the volt tester, mark/name those first. With the manual PDF, i.d. Those lines to make sure they are not shorted. Then turn the key assembly to ON, then try the different light controls to see if you get power out of the assembly. This is time consuming, so if you cAn wait till tomorrow, do it.

Edit: if it's not the switch, you're grounded out somewhere? Main relay going out? It happens alot on this generation.
