question about dash wiring.

so I picked up a dash harness from an auto h22a1 94, My 92 jdm h22a vtec has had an issue since I bought it that the speedometer lights do not light up so i figured I would try and replace the entire harness. I already replaced the speedometer, and that didnt help. my question is Will I have any problems putting this new harness into my 92 since it is a manual, will i need to buy an el guage set up or should it just kind of be plug and play?or can it not be done at all? I would love for it to be plug in play but I know my car is no el capable at the moment. fingers crossed. Thanks in advance.

This could be a dumb question....have u pulled the cluster to see if the bulbs are good? Lots will take them out if they got the el glo

Well the Guy before me said he had it checked and they told him he needed a new speed/rpm guage. So I bought one. No luck. I personally have not checked the bulbs. So I suppose its a possibility. But I would like to put this harness I got in if it works to see if that works. And that would take out one of my options if it doesn't fix it. So just wanting to know if the two harnesses are interchangeable. I will check ur idea though thanks man.

I'm not entirely sure man, the auto harness has wiring to light up the dash wether its in drive, neutral, reverse etc.....while the harness for a manual doesn't. Do you have the helms manual?

Re: question about dash wiring.

Another thing is it all lights in the cluster? Or just the backlighting?

Re: question about dash wiring.

Got my fingers crossed for you....if that don't work then def a wiring issue, but I don't think that auto's harness will work, but I don't know for sure
