Anyone else have severe fog problems in their cars?

Anytime it gets remotely cool and especially if snows/rains my front windshield gets so fogged I almost can't see out of it. It is very annoying and was so bad one time I actually had water running down the inside from, it wasn't a leak just so much humidity on the inside onf the window. Anyone know of anything to cure this? Think Rain-X on the inside would help?

I have the same thing happening. Don't know if rainx would help or not. I just keep a towel in the car to wipe it off.I'd you try rainx let me know if it helps any.

One of the reasons I invested in rain guards so I don't get wet when I eventually take out a/c.

I turn my a/c on and hit the defrost for a few seconds and I'm good. My door and window seals need to be replaced. I think moisture is getting in there and just fogs up the glass when it condenses.

In the mean time, you can pick up a mini rechargeable de-humidifier and keep it in the cabin. Basically it's a bunch of silica crystals encased in plastic and they absorb moisture. Once it's full, you can plug it into an outlet and it releases the moisture. (DO THIS OUTSIDE OR IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA)

Good luck!

I hate how badly my windows get, and I actually found something made by rainx I think that's a window defogger. It's some liquid that you just apply to cotton cloth and then to the window. It worked great for about 90 days, now I need to reapply it. But it worked great, and I found it at the walmart near me.

Hope it helps, oh yeah it was like $5 so not to expensive.

Re: Anyone else have severe fog problems in their cars?

you guys want to know a special trick? take a bar of soap, rub it into the inside of the glass. then take a clean rag and wipe it down till its clean. after you do this there shouldnt be any fogging up. if you dont believe me try it on your bathroom mirror with the hot water on.

Re: Anyone else have severe fog problems in their cars?

check under your truck mat and under your spare tire, i bet theres water collected under there and that causes all the condensation on your windows. time to change your tail light gaskets.

Re: Anyone else have severe fog problems in their cars?

ditto....

I need to change my tail light gaskets (been "meaning to" for years, but when I first bought the car and didn't know what was up, I drilled a few drain holes here and there in the trunk, lol... I also keep some newspaper, or a towel back there to soak it up when they call for rain)... I was also wondering if my windshield was possibly leaking somewhere from when I got it replaced... I was surprised at the amount running down the windowsill a while back, and noticed I could see lines where it was doing that on other days I was not driving it as well...

I knew about the taillight thing... just glad to know niagra on the windshield thing is also just another 4th gen "thang"

Could be your heater core leaking.

Definately not my heater core. I know what it looks like and this is just poor seals or condensation somewhere.

Re: Anyone else have severe fog problems in their cars?

My CRX leaks quite a bit of water and it does not have AC. The way I get rid of the fog on the inside is high heat on the front window and no recirc.
Also try the rainx anti fog, not the water replant stuff.
