MY 95' PRELUDE : New to Forum

I bought this 1995 Prelude in october, got my license back in November, DUI from 2 years ago , but anyway, just got it out of the shop yesterday, oil change and got 2 new tires, one went flat after i hit a bump on a highway, looks like speedbumps "roadwork with no signs ..." H23a1 DOHC Engine, AEM Cold Air intake, it has some crappy muffler on it right now, all exhaust is stock other than that. Spyder Smoked Taillights, installing spyder black halo headlights, and R33 Body kit tommorow, the stock one is in worse shape than it looks in pics, gotta look up close to really notice. Also have a cheap system in the car for now, im a Bass fanatic, Kenwood Head unit single din, 1600 watt rms boss phantom amp, and 2 12in boss phantom subs, said to be 1150 watt rms each but really probably 150 rms lol. but they hit hard so Im happy with it.

Upcoming work:
Looking into a Aftermarket intake manifold any ideas let me know please remember though H23a1.
Completely redoing my entire exhaust all the way to the header, i have a crack in mine now from that bump, but oh well, its all rusted out and after 2 months of driving its about time to upgrade to 3 in...

Im open to ideas, and just entering the engine world, let alone the honda world, this is the first car i bought and owned myself, so please the more help the better, shoot some ideas my way performance wise, all i know is audio, and minimal interior, exterior, and barely anything performance. But i want to learn.

I know its gonna be probably not, but if anyone needs any help with their audio i would be happy to help just pm me or post on my thread, i joined this forum for a reason, im a car fanatic trying to learn more than i know now, and to help others do the same if possible.

and if anyone is in jersey, let me know. So far havent found anyone.

Re: MY 95' PRELUDE : New to Forum

I like the lip kit thats on it currently....

Please do not change anything but lowering it and wheels.... No body kit please. It looks so clean as is.

Maybe go spoiler-less. But your car would look so amazing with a drop of like 2.5 inches. lol.

I even like the wheels! Truly do. Great base to start with. Dont mess it up. :P

Re: MY 95' PRELUDE : New to Forum

Nice lookin 4th gen! great base to start with. in my opinion that is by far, the best looking lip kit available for the 4th gen. There are no body kits that will look better than that. but do your thing!

Re: MY 95' PRELUDE : New to Forum

Looks pretty clean. I wouldn't put a body kit on it, it may be just me, but the 'ricer' fad, as it has been deemed, has been dead for awhile. Your personal preferences are going to be different, obviously, but I wouldn't do anything to it but remove the spoiler and bodywork/re-paint it.

Welcome....good looking ride! Get rid of the tezza lookin tails. As for performance you got a nice start having a V2 on there. Not too familiar with H23 but header, cat, exhaust and tune up should do wonders!

Re: MY 95' PRELUDE : New to Forum

Hey what's up im in north jersey bro. If I were you I would save up for the H22. It has more power and is a direct bolt in. Oh yeah take that wing and the side markers off bro; just kidding your choice. But save up for the motor vtec is the way to go. Right now your motor when it was in prestine condition was putting out 160 hp from the crank. The H22 puts out 190 if I am not mistaken. I think its the best first step. Lastly, is that an auto or manual transmission

I agree with these guys about not putting a kit on it but like you said, its your car with your taste. at the very least, please get rid of those taillights..... I'm sure these guys here have an extra set of OEMs laying around.

Keep her clean and check out all the performance threads on here. GOOD LUCK!

ride looks good bro. try to steer away from body kits, a good lip kit will work. and please for the love of god run that power wire through the firewall and not through your door and fender... you said you were a bass fanatic so your stereo should mean something to ya lol...

the taillights are staying just got them, my personal preference, same with the body, thanks for the input though. As far as the power wire, I know i have to run it through the firewall, but im rewiring the entire system once I redo my interior and get earthquakes. And thanks for the sites posted.

Your motor needs a bit of cleaning lol. If you like the way it looks cool atleast there's more diversity.

If you noticed I quoted the links to Crower Cams and Blox Cam gears. Those would not be the first 2 companies I would choose.

I also wouldnt really suggest wiseco or mahle as my top 2 piston brands.
