Wierd problems?

My 93 prelude has became very hard to start..
Idles fine until it gets up to temp(1/2)
Then at red lights/stop signs it idles ruff and tries to cut off if I don't keep my foot on the gas or put it in (N).
Also if you floor it from an idle it stumbles or chokes down..
As far as the starting Prob I thought mayb a main relay but my pump is pumping when i turn my key on..
I have also checked plugs/wires
Iacv, cleaned throttle body
Cheated erg valve.. Rotor and Button"look" ok..
Fuel filter need to be replace haven't had time to stop and get one but I flushed it out best I could.
Any ideas?

Re: Wierd problems?

best guess is its your fuel filter, fuel rail, injectors. it is not letting fuel get to the motor so it will bog down when floored or at ideal. it is in your fuel system im sure of that. i would first take of fuel rail clean injectors, clean fuel rail, and if that dosent fix it then fuel filter. but could possible a vacuum line. check all vacuum lines for leaks.

Re: Wierd problems?

it could be a couple other things beside what the other guys said ,map sensor ,tps, ,crank sensor cam sensor there inside distributor . make sure wire are good don't assume they are good by looking ,need to check there resistant .

Re: Wierd problems?

I'm getting new wires today and a filter on the way home.
What about the cutting off when up to temp at stoplights/signs?

Re: Wierd problems?

The last thing I can think of that would put out a problem like that is probably the head gasket. A friend of mine was telling me about the same problem she had on her lude and it finally died for good then she got the head gasket redone and she was all good to go again, but don't take my word for it, just consider it as the last thing that could be wrong with it

Re: Wierd problems?

But wouldn't you have coolant in the oil or vise versa?

Re: Wierd problems?

I found my rotor button rusted on half of it and the other half silver,
Replaced it and seems to have fixed it so far!
