Re: BB1 & 4WS question
when you're shaking the wheel look at the linkages under the car and see if any are loose. look at the ball joints and the steering linkages. and dont crawl under while using that spare tire jack its dangerous. use a real jack and jack stands. (*edit My bad i didnt notice thats not a prelude in the picture. that looks like a picture you found online. )

Re: BB1 & 4WS question
I'm here
![]() Look at the tie rods and make sure they are not loose. Also check for play in the inner tie rods. It is highly unlikely that it is the actuator since it is a screw style rack. There is a physical connection between both sides, so if the actuator was bad then the whole rack would have play just like in a rack and pinon. Treat your inspection just as if it was on the front. Also check ball joints and bushings. I know my rear bushings are starting to look very crappy, I guess it is time for ES polys all around.

Re: BB1 & 4WS question
Thanks for suggestions!
Dwend , it looks like you have experience with 4ws? Today my car goes to repair – I’ll let you know what the cause of my problems was. |

Re: BB1 & 4WS question
4WS is pretty much the same as the front of the car. If you have play (able to shake the wheel from side-to-side) it will most likely be lower balljoints.

Re: BB1 & 4WS question
Hi guys,
I (we) solved everything ![]() Problem was bad right (rear) tie rod and together with bad (front) left drive shaft so driving experience was disaster (as I wrote here Rear end bouncing/goes by itself) We also changed suspension – now there are AGX with Eibach springs. So we changed everything! After that I did wheel alignment... ...and now driving is like PORN ![]() ![]() Thank you guys for all your suggestions! It helped a lot! |
