Lately (pics)

New stuff for the prelude, Borla muffler and Megan header.

My boyfriend bought me the muffler for Christmas, my car was obnoxiously loud and extremely ricer-ish. But it sounds awesome now. His mom bought me the header for Christmas. When the h22a was swapped in, the exhaust manifold (h22) was held on by just one bolt to the downpipe (h23), and there was an exhaust leak where the mani met the down pipe. Header = problem solved!!!

Megan Racing header. Was around $160 on ebay, but needed to get some gaskets from the zone. Works well for the price.

H23 downpipe.

Pretty.

New muffler to get rid of the loud raspyness. Bought a standard slant tip from autozone to top it all off. Sounds 100x better. Will get installed pictures later.

As for other purchases...... We bought a 1995 Civic hatch for a long term project. JDM b18c will be swapped into this, and the d15 will be swapped in the Delsol to sell it. Hatch was $650 without the tow.

Blown head gasket, fixed for less then $25 and some elbow grease.

Oil/coolant mix is nastyyyy

Me and my cat. <3 him

We also purchased 1999 Civic ex 4 door automatic for $600 to fix up and sell. No pictures of that yet because it's not driveable.

Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas!!!

The hatch was bought from a dealer in Struthers OH, near Youngstown. We live in the Akron area. Where are you from?

Re: Lately (pics)

This is my first vehicle ever with a header. So far it's done exactly what I needed it to do which is fix my exhaust leak. No complaints so far, and the lude doesn't sound like an airplane when I engine brake anymore. And I know, it's already starting to turn that blue-ish color, which is fine. Still looks a lot better then stock! :)

Other then HIDs this will be it for now, until spring. I am still looking for an OEM shift boot...... it's $100+ at the dealer, and I don't like a lot of what I see on Ebay. Blahhhhhhhh decisions.

Re: Lately (pics)

Megan in my opinion is a great replacement for oe factory. Souinds better, Looks better! Cheaper! unless mayb going to picandpull? Which is always fun in my book! Unless you start doing mods to your engine like internals megans good. Just dont hook up the bracket on the down pipe that hooks up to the bootom side of engine above the oil pan! The one with two bolts holes. They tend to break there from torque of engine and leave a big hole in downpipe. I think Megan actually has a warning label on site or in box cant remember? They put a warning on it bcuz so many complants! other than that Coolbeans on the progress keep it up! Great looking Prelude By the way! Oh why did you go H23 down pipe? Any advantages from H22 D.P. ? Can we get a sound bite of that muffler in action? My nephew is looking for a muffler thats not to loud! Police in our area love pulling over those loud ass ones! I guess the decibles can only be so high?

Re: Lately (pics)

Megan Header isn't too shabby. Worked flawless on my F22B1 back in the day. You should've went with a Hytech Replica Header, but it'll cost a bit more work than just a straight bolt on though.

Looks good so far.

Yeah I can make a video, it might not be until Friday though. Not sure how well the one on my phone works, Ill try it here in a few. I had a USDM H23 in the car when I bought it, and swapped a JDM H22 in it after a little while. The h22 exhaust manifold did not bolt up with the h23 downpipe correctly, if you look in the pictures you can see carbon build up from where the leak was. Hahah yeah that was a side not in the ad.

Re: Lately (pics)

There's been a slight delay with the soundclip for the muffler. When it's not raining it's been a blizzard, with 8"+ of snow, LES warning until tomorrow and temps hovering around the single digits. Needless to say, I haven't been motivated to do anything.

Yup, yesterday was the perfect opportunity for snow drifting. The plows couldn't keep up with what was coming down so most parking lots & side roads were untouched. It was fun. Once this snow starts clearing up I'll get make that video, It's not supposed to snow for the next couple days... we'll see.

Re: Lately (pics)

NE Ohio finally came across some awesome weather, it's been in the 40's which is extremely warm for January. The sound clip of the Borla muffler can be found below.

Also, with the help of Mr.Huey Tat, I installed the OEM shift boot. He helped me out through the whole thing (I'm not very good with computers) which was awesome. Thank you again, sir.

Anyways, heres the link:

I couldn't figure out how to get the actual video on here so you could just press play.
