Blower Motor Resistor Location?

So Im going to try and diagnose this issue piece by piece.
- Blower fan for cabin temperature doesnt work on any speed - I bought a new resistor and will start there (all fuses are good).

Where is this thing located?
Yes, I have done site searches and googled til my fingers hurt with numerous word switching in title.

People say remove the dash, other say not to....any advice/diagrams out there?

appreciate any help to this issue.

Re: Blower Motor Resistor Location?

I have a 5th gen prelude, but all locations are typically in the same area. You have to remove the glove box and it should be somewhere inside of there near the vents (to keep it at low temps). BTW when the resistor goes bad, it should work on the highest setting only, and none of the lower settings, so I don't think it's your case.

Re: Blower Motor Resistor Location?

Vipers4Life -- Thanks for the response. I'm just clueless as to what it could potentially be. The cable is seized and is being replaced today - but the fact that none of my fan settings work boggles me. All the lights light up....as for the glove box, clearly you've never opened one on a 1995 SR-V.....its like in cartoons when they open the door and the brick wall is on the other side lol.

but he's telling you the blower assembly is located behind the glove box, so remove your tiny glove box for access to the part you're in search of.

Re: Blower Motor Resistor Location?

So my Honda Mechanic got back to me - The blower motor itself works, so the resistor comes in tomorrow, see if that solves the problem...when in doubt, pay someone else to do it lol.
