Icon5 Quick Question, Replacing all Stock Parts

So I'm rejuvenating my Prelude,
I Just Bought my Hood, Hood Hinges, Both Fenders, Side Skirts, And my Windshield (I Had Cracked it Racing) all for $200
The only thing I Need is my Front and Rear Bumper

My Prelude Base is Painted Flat Primer Black
And I was Wondering What do I need to Sand and Paint the Parts I just Bought?
I was reading into it and they've been Telling me to wet sand the Parts but I Don't know what Grit to use, And is Rustoleum Primer good Enough?

Also, Can I Just Spray my Car With Primer again since there is Primer already on the Base? I want it to Look Fresher and Cover up the Knicks the Paint has?

Thanks in Advance!

Also I have some Gun Metal TenzoR Passion 5 Rims that I Want to Paint Gold and Leave the Lip Polished, Do I have to Sand them or just Spray Paint them Gold ?

Re: Quick Question, Replacing all Stock Parts

Not trying to be harsh but if you have to really ask about some of these things then it is probably something you shouldn't be getting yourself into, not without someone who knows what they are doing right there to help you. I see this all the time where someone tries to take the cheap and easy way out only ending up costing them more money when they give up and pay a shop/professional to do it.

As for your wheels... I'm comfortable with telling you what to use here... you can use something as simple as a scuff pad or 400 grit sand paper wet or dry to sand them before paint.

It's alright man, But I Just want to learn on my Own and get some Practice.
I Got someone in my Fam who Works in a Body shop but I wanna Sand And Primer everything on my own just to Learn. If I mess up they Can Paint it Afterwards, I Just want the Car Flat Primer black just like the Base.

Have the person in your family help you and show you. Best way to learn IMO.
