Need more details! A missing ps belt is a $5 fix, but why did it snap in the first place?

Did the ps belt snap AFTER he put it up for sale? It just begs the question why he put up for sale right after the belt snapped..

Re: Quick question. May be picking up a 93 SH with snapped Power Steeing Belt.

The previous guy can do a SH engine swap and trim the block down enough to retain a H23 or H22 transmission on. I've seen it done before. Nothing wrong with that, I'd buy it if it's just a p/s belt that snapped.

It's the ATTS transmission that you need to be aware of, not the SH engine block.

Re: Quick question. May be picking up a 93 SH with snapped Power Steeing Belt.

sounds like the shaft that the PS pulley is mounted on bent, maybe from over-tightening.

Here it is. Traded my 1997 cavalier for this.
(silver is trade, picked up black one about a month ago.)

As for belt here are some photos. Looks like alot is out of place.

Re: Quick question. May be picking up a 93 SH with snapped Power Steeing Belt.

When you spin the ps pulley by hand does it wobble around? Looks like it's bent, not sure how one would bend a ps pulley though...

Re: Quick question. May be picking up a 93 SH with snapped Power Steeing Belt.

Pulley is not bent at all.
Update: top bolts threads are stripped. I can trun it but does not come out. If you look at the last photo where the bolt is missing at the bottom, I think there is the problem. Just need to figure out how to remove that dam top bolt...

Re: Quick question. May be picking up a 93 SH with snapped Power Steeing Belt.

Problems been solved for now.
Where on the last photo the is the hole with no bolt, the bold was in bend it pushing it sideways.... how the last guy managed to **** it up that bad i dont know.
Ayways it sits normall now, managed to get stripped bolt off by yelling at it for 10 mintues, need a new bolt and belt, and it should be good to go.
Thanks for the comments, I justwanted to make sure it was not something else.

Il keep ya guys posted.
