Injectors Help

I have a fluctuating idle. I sprayed throttle/intake cleaner all over my vaccum lines while car was at idle. When I sprayed near the injectors the idle surged and went high or would almost die out. That's where my leak is.

So question is, is there a gasket that seals the injectors or would it be my IM gasket?

Re: Injectors Help

The injectors are held in with the fuel rail. It is probably the lower seals that seal the injectors into the IM. If it were the upper seals there would be fuel leaking.

Re: Injectors Help

take fuel rail off there is a seal on the injector and one in the im. it may or may not come out. if this dosent fix your problem also try your fast idel valve re set it.

I already did that. I tightened all the way then back out 180 degrees so half a turn. No fix :/ at least a cleaned all the gunk out of it. It was like solid crap clogging it up.

Re: Injectors Help

I don't know if u smoke at all, i do though.
If u do smoke or even if u don't and u REALLY wanna find the leak source.
I've taken the brake booster line off before and blown a bunch of smoke through it, no flow is good, means its all tight, and if u do get flow, see where its coming from either by looking straight at it, or in dark with laser pointer, never failed for me yet...

Re: Injectors Help

If it's the injector o-rings, it'll bubble out some. I know this because thats how I found out o-rings were bad on an Infinite QX SUV. It's odd, but it'll bubble.
