Icon5 1992 Lude Ideas. Help!

Hey guys,

So i recently bought a 1992 prelude and i love the car. great gas milage and awesome styling. But there are some problems. First off i need a new hood, new front bumper cover, new vents, trunk, wheels and tires and an actual CAI. Second off i want to get this bad baby painted after everything is installed. Third i want some mods. Like a rear window diffuser, new lights and new tail lights, antenna delete, and i might want to add A/C. You guys have any ideas on how to get started and where to get replacement parts? I've already checked local junk yards and i'm having trouble finding parts, especially the vents next to the lights. Feel free to post ideas that would make this 4th gen look even better!

Hey man whats up, congrats on the Buy, i also have 92 lude and its been great to me for the past 2 years. Any ways, you can find many replacements, stock, aftermarket, performance parts on facebook its a group called ''Prelude Parts" they always have stuff like hoods, bumbers, interior parts, lights, parts etc. But what i wanted to know is your dented or messed up, becuase if not you can give it a nice paint job with out having to buy another hood,

The hood is extremely contorted. Along with the front bumper cover. No salvage possible :(

Re: 1992 Lude Ideas. Help!

Try ebay for parts too some stuff is a little over priced but you could find good deals. Same here I could never find anything good in junk yards :/ , but before working on the outside see what the engine needs.

Re: 1992 Lude Ideas. Help!

It has the F22a1 in it with a 4-2-1 header and stock cat back exhaust. Then the previous owner jerry rigged a short ram intake(will post picture later). Any ideas on how to get a little extra out of the engine without swapping for a H22? I've got about 1200 dedicated to performance mods.

Yeah its the basic. I have the same car in black.
125HP Supposably, seems about right comparing it to my 92 Civic Si.

Id also say ebay, you can find some great deals on there compared to local.

Did you replace the valve springs when you installed the cam?

Not sureeeee but I think the exhaust manifold off the a6 and h23 are both bigger because they dont have the inner pipe-ing

I used silver vinyl spray paint, the used a red krylon metalix over that. Make sure to clear coat them because then they fade :\

Put a Good Quality Intake, Headers, & Exhaust, such as AEM for more horsepower....
