lost all oil!!!!

whats up guys. My lude shut off on me the other day. I got out popped the hood and started looking at random ****. checked my dipstick, no oil in the motor at all. weird thing is, it didn't dump it all at once, it burns the usual lude oil and has always had a slow leak. I just did an oil change 2 weeks ago. so i lost 4 1/2 quarts in that amount of time. I dont know what to do! main seals? head gasket? what??? please help me, if it comes down to it, im buying a new jdm motor. considering my timing is ****ed too .

Re: lost all oil!!!!

i had discovered mine is leaking around the distributor today. But best bet is to just try to clean it off the best you can, add some oil in it,start her up and see if you can tell where it is comin from- bout the only thing you can really do

Re: lost all oil!!!!

take your car back to the place where you had the oil changed and have them check it out. Do not touch the drain plug if it has been tamper sealed!

Re: lost all oil!!!!

if your not leaking any oil (which would be obvious), than you're burning your oil. and 4.5qts in two weeks is ALOTTTT!!!

if the engine shut itself off from no oil, than its already toast. no point in doing the t-belt, just start ripping the motor out.

i ran one of my motors with no oil for a very brief time, but i shut it off before any serious IMMEDIATE damage was done.
that motor lasted another 5,000 miles @ 6psi/~225whp, until this happened

Re: lost all oil!!!!

ALLLL around the engine?? Than yea it's prolly easier to do an entire swap rather than fix one at a time. Just make sure you regularly (like daily, from the sounds of it) check your oil level.
