IDEAS for fixin it up??

okay well im pretty ready to start putting work into my car but i have no clue where to start....ummm how about i let u know my idea of what i want it to look like and hopefully you guys can give me ideas on what to get or what brands to look for and so on/so forth....

ok well as far as exterior goes. im planning on painting it black. I want to get some rims...maybe 17's....preferably GOLD w/ chrome lip. Umm i want it lowered for sure. Not sure how much tho. Hmmm what else....im thinking of something simple and clean lookin for the body. No big kits or anything. Maybe just a lip or somethin. Im not really going for the huge racer kinda look. Just something NICE you know?? OH and i saw headlights on a blue lude somewhere on this site that i reallly liked. i forgot who had them. But they were yellow highbeams and regular low beams. It wasnt just the bulb that was yellow but the reflectors? around it were yellow too. I tried looking for them online but couldnt find them. and i couldnt find the blue lude again too... ok well i dont wanna bombard you guys with too much at once so ill just keep it with the exterior for now. Ill ask you guys about performance mods later.

Recommend reading over the "Sticky" posts for whatever generation prelude you have. You will be surprised how many of your q's get answered before you have to go through the trouble of creating a ton of posts. Every X-gen forum under Tech-talk starts out with DIYs, manuals, suggestions, and a whole plethura of misc. info. I'm not saying don't ask questions, please do! That is just a good place to get a ton of quality info and help keep PZ free of redundant posts.

Okay well i read those stickys and they had A LOT of info. The sticky's prolly answered a good 3/4 of my questions. There's some i still want your opinions on tho. for example, whats a simple body/lip kit? should i even put any on if im lowering the car? And where can i find those headlights?? i wish i could find that car again that had them so i could show you guys....i suck at searching.

If I was you man I would not worry about headlights right now. The best thing to do with a 4th gen (in my book) is this.

1st put a h22a JDM motor in there (if you don't have one already)
2nd work out the exterior body work since that will be were most of you money goes into at the moment. that includes those pretty headlights.
3rd sit down and really look at what other people are doing with their ludes as far as themes go and then start placing aftermarket parts on there (this goes hand and hand with number 2)
4th please don't make it a ricer! LOL!

Post some pictures up on here so we can see were you are starting off that will give the people who have been here longer some ideas on what you can start off doing. Now these are only ideas make your prelude one of a kind because they no longer make them. You have a fine jewel my friend anyone that has a prelude will tell you the same thing.

I think you are thinking the same way as me as far as what to do with a car. Personally I like the Hiro lipkit. And buddy while you get it painted buy up the parts for the motor like a header, exhaust, CAI, and anything else you might need to get it a little go. If you wanna see what I'm about to do to my car just message me and I will send you a pic and some specs I have on mine. Right now it is in the shop but come Sunday I will have all my parts here and I will take a picture and show you mine.
