Honda Prelude Newbie

Hey to all am new to the forum scene and I came across this site cause it since like a pretty good site to help me out. Well first thing first I have a 1994 Honda Prelude S. I purchased it for $800 the body is in fair condition, the interior is in good condition the airbag were deployed in the steering wheel and in the passenger side dash. It has an aftermarket intake and a aftermarket exhaust muffler tip. Right know I have no idea what I want to do to it, I havenít decide whether to paint it back the same white or change it to something else. I know there plenty of things I could do but I really need so good solid advise this is my first prelude and I want to make sure whatever I decide to do I do it right Iím looking to have a nice sleeper. As far as motor wise it has an f22a1 motor in it now. I know I could either build on the motor or do a swap but am really not sure which one to go with. So if anybody could help me out I would really appreciate it. Also I attach a few pics of the car to give u an idea of what I am working with.

Re: Honda Prelude Newbie

Thanks guys i feel welcome already lol but that is a good question I know for a fact I wanna go with a all motor setup and I probably would wanna keep my budget at least between $1500-$2000 I don't know if that is a sure thing when it come to getting to best performance out of your car but it a start I guess.

Re: Honda Prelude Newbie

ok N/A it is
do you know f you want to keep your f22 and build on it
or go for an h22?
you can build a really nice f22 with that amount of money but but if you keep it n/a then you'll only be making around the same as an h22, and on the other side it might be possible to get an h22 swap with that money (depending on where you get it and if you swap it yourself) and be making as much power as the built f22 from a start (meaning you can still go even further with bolt-ons and so on)

Re: Honda Prelude Newbie

well I been doing so thinking I believe I'm do the h22 swap I believe I can find the motor for a good price online. So now I just need to figure out which bolt-ons to add to it to get the most power out of it
.

Re: Honda Prelude Newbie

theres always a way to squeeze some power out of your motor without breaking bank, even for an f series. i like the white and we'll like it whatever color you choose to paint it. theres plenty or rim choices and new tires are always good. but maybe you want your prelude to do what it was made to do...rip a corner, get a nice set of coilovers. your in a honda, basically the sky is the limit

Re: Honda Prelude Newbie

I've seen H22 swaps for around 750$ so you could get that and some nice bolt ons and have a really fun car!
