help with valve adjstement

can someone tell me where exactly do I place the feeler gauges when adjusting?

I read just about every write up on here and H-T. I just don't understand where to put the gauges.

Thanks!

Between the cam lobe and the rocker that sits on top of the valve spring. Make sure to rotate the engine and do it in order.

Watch at 8:20. he puts the feeler gauge right under the adjusting screw...

I am so confused now. I adjusted mine today and about 20 miles after my car went to one bar above normal on temp gauge. I think I made ex too tight.
