Re: So two questions

Surging idle is usually related to an intake manifold leak and or an IACV (idle air control valve) malfunction. As for strut bar u can get a cheapo ebay one but it wont do what its designed for bc it has pivot points in it. Go to explicitspeedperformance.com and u can get them there in 2/3 point fronts. theyre like 150. BUT they're solid bars and will do what theyre there for. Keep ur sh1t stiff. Welcome to PZ

Re: So two questions

pretty much what diamond said. I have an ESP bar, waited 15 weeksn for it, but it was definitely worth it. for $40 Megan isn't bad either, i felt a slight difference but ita jothing compared to my ESP. lower end, but kind of does the job. you can also look for the neuspeed strut bar. just remember too, 4th and 5th gen (only base not SH) suspension parts are all interchangeable

Re: So two questions

Im having the same exact idle problem with mine right now after it wasnt running for like 4 or 5 months. I was kinda guessing the iacv also. I'll definitely be watching this thread to see if anybody else has anymore input.

Re: So two questions

lol it must be the weather because I've been seeing a lot of idle problems here lately throughout various honda boards. Mine is starting to act up as well and I literally just got done watching a video by eric the car guy (EricTheCarGuy) and he pretty much breaks down everything about idle in a honda engine. First thing to check-coolant levels/air in the coolant system. Second, check IACV to see if it is sticking. and third, check the Fast Idle Valve (FITV). I plan on doing these three things on monday when I'm back in class.
Good luck to you bro and welcome to PZ!

oh and another thing (not trying to be an ass) but do some in depth research before posting a new thread about a topic that has been covered hundreds of times, ESPECIALLY about idle. I've had idle problems since day one but I do not dare to ever post a thread about it lol.. just a friendly heads up. RESEARCH, RESEARCH, AND RESEARCH SOME MORE! It never hurts to learn something yourself..
