Good place to find Winter Tires?

I currently have two sets of rims for my car. One 17inch, one 16inch. currently the 17inch ones have wrecked winter tires on them. Now this is my first car and I really don`t know much about it, nor do I know much about these forums but I have a few questions. First off I`ve been told that I need low profile tires, and I`m not sure where to get low profile winter tires to fit on the 17" rims, anyone have any ideas? Also how much would it approx cost?(Installation I can get my brothers friend to do, he works at our local Insurance Salvage yard and they have the tools needed to put on tires for me for free). Also my Car didnt come with a manual so I`ve been told the bolt pattern on my car is 114.3x4, if that sounds right to you guys?

Re: Good place to find Winter Tires?

Oh yes I have a 4th gen. I live in saskatchewan where we already have ****ty roads but if you add snow and Ice they are 20x worse. Winter tires are a must especially when my 16 tires have summer tires, not even all seasons. I`ve not seen either of them around my city but I`ll check the phonebook soon.

Re: Good place to find Winter Tires?

Blizzaks are the best choice hands down. They have quite a few low profile options also.

TIRES: What You need to know

To learn more about tires. Winter tires can be bought used for about 35-50 a piece with about 5-9 thousand miles on them. For local purposes, perfect. Just get them in pairs, two for the front same make, and rears can stay all season. You just need to confirm the 17 inch rims fit your prelude first. Just look at the link above and ask us anything! Good luck!

Yes. It just looks funny with 2 different pairs of rims. But safety first!
