Re: MD Emissions Advice?

Do the easy part . Put your stock intake back on making sure the crank case ventilation hose is properly connected to the intake piping and hope for the best . Hopefully you have all the parts needed to return your car to a stock configuration if necessary .

Re: MD Emissions Advice?

realllyy?? everything back to stock?
my intake, isnt too big of a deal. If i have the sticker for emissions for the aftermarket intake is that okay?

other then that everything else is rusted and thrown away.

Re: MD Emissions Advice?

Check out the web site in the link below to see what they are looking for .

From the web site:
A certified emissions inspector will check for leaking fluids, excessive smoke, signs of tampering with the exhaust system , a gas cap, dashboard warning lights, and badly worn tires. Nothing is disconnected.

Re: MD Emissions Advice?

I passed emissions in my old 4th gen h22 (obd1 test) I just put the stock jdm intake back on and put electrical tape over the check engine light lol

The readings with the jdm h22 were actually better than the numbers on the stock f22 (I guess the high mileage of the f22 was the problem)

If your lude is not heavily modified then it shouldn't really be a problem.. I passed emissions with the supercharger (carb legal) before I switched it over to obd1 and said fcuk emissions

You should be fine. MD isn't as strict as VA. Don't mind RT (Shdriver) and his "all stock is better than everything" mentality.

Perhaps run some seafoam through the gas tank. You may want to clean your EGR ports/plugs but that's a bit involved.

Make sure your car is good and warmed up before you pull into the station. (Drive for about 20 minutes prior to the test)

I see you have a cat which is good. If your check engine light is on you will fail automatically.

You're not allowed to re-route the exhaust or tamper with/remove emissions equipment (cat or EGR).

I passed with a cold air intake. (Stock exhaust though).

Re: MD Emissions Advice?

I just passed emmisions in MD last week with my '96 BB1. As long as you don't have any dash lights on (and the cel bulb works), you should be fine.

I have an AEM V2 intake, megan header, magnaflow high flow cat (with spark plug non-fouler mod), and a greddy evo2 exhaust.

Re: MD Emissions Advice?

Good and Bad news

yeah, i went today after toggleing and playing with my obd2 monitor for the pass 3 days.

the car passed emissions with flying colors, easy drive bearly made it just in time for the close out.... had to work late, buzzed though traffic.

unfortunately after getting emissions....... about an hour later....
making a left turn at a light, both of my left side tires blow out.... after hitting a pot hole or something... it was dark.....

got to get new tires... and the car is sitting in a parking lot with 1 side jacked up on stands...
