Instead of buying new IACV...?

I need a new IACV, mine's done. I've taken the steps to clean and whatnot, and even the technician included in his notes "rough idle may be caused by faulty IACV"...

So my dilemma is should I go for a different aftermarket throttle body, say Skunk2 for example, in which the IACV and maybe even the FITV have been deleted ?
I mean is it only for comp/race use, or can it be used daily and practically without issues like I'm having ? When I turn the headlights, heater, rear-defrost or turn the steering wheel, my rpm's wont dip will they with an aftermarket TB ?

I havent hardly begun to research this aspect of a better TB, but I JUST wanted to clear that question up, It's the most important part of this all... Kind of hoping for good news so I can get a better TB..

Re: Instead of buying new IACV...?

Sorry, I did a little research after posting this thread... Discovered that there are adapter plates and everything needed to make it all work, and there is a Golden Eagle IM that is without an IACV I think. I just want to know how it would work without the IACV and FITV. Im guessing I wouldnt get the outcome that I want out of it... So I am forced to now buy a new OE IACV and some IM for the H23 !! :)

Re: Instead of buying new IACV...?

So here's the new IACV from the dealership.
I had to wait 2 weeks for it and my oil cap to come in. Im eager to see the difference it's going to make, I'll get a new FITV soon as well, but I just wanna rule this piece out completely first. I bog down so badly at stops with my foot on the brake and headlights on, especially when the thermo kicks in and the fan comes on, its a real b****.... So yeah, 270 bucks later we'll see if it was worth it, I'm pretty sure it will be.

Soon I'll start on vacuum lines and small hoses and etc...
Which leads me to a question I have for anyone that knows off the top of their head. Is there any important before/after prep I should do when installing the new IACV ? Is it recommended to change the IACV in/out hoses along with the install of the piece, or can they just wait a bit if they look fine ?
I'll be surprised if this part alone fixes my idle issue, but I'm stoked for sure :D I'll post up a vid of the sound and such.
