Sunroof leaking

My sunroof is leaking from the headliner area. Took the inside panel off and seen water coming from the back side of the sunroof assembly. I've already cleaned my drain hoses out. But I do seem to be getting water in my trunk from the passenger side. What could be causing the sunroof itself to leak? I took the roof panel off and didn't see anything. Are there any seals that can be replaced on the sunroof mechanism?

Re: Sunroof leaking

Man no replies? Well I took it apart and it seems to be leaking from where the frame seal and these little rubber grommets that the cables for the roof goes through. Tried siliconing them but still leaking from there. A new frame seal is like $118 from Honda. No way I can afford that now.

Re: Sunroof leaking

The tail light seals are allowing water into the trunk. The sunroof seal is allowing it into the passenger compartment. That'd be my guesses.

Re: Sunroof leaking

one way to find out, get a friend, get a flashlight and get a hose. with you, or your friend in the trunk with the flashlight, depends if you trust him or not. spray water over the car and try to see where it is coming in. if you don't trust him and he don't trust you, you can always just open up the back seats too.

Re: Sunroof leaking

I'm going to try siliconing the 2 spots that I saw leaking with the sunroof in the car. I did it with the whole unit out of the car and that didn't seem to work. And the seal also has a split where the ends meet I'm going to try siliconing that also. I'll probably silicone my taillights. Would a broken antenna mast cause water in the trunk??

Re: Sunroof leaking

Ok I almost got it pasenger side sealed middle still leaking and driver side leaking from a different spot. Now in the trunk my passenger side is leaking from the nipple thing. I dont see how that is. Now where the nipple connects to the hose on both sides I have them hose clamped so not leaking from where they come together. Hopefully I had the nipple on wrong I checked it out and there's no cuts or anything on it.

Re: Sunroof leaking

Everything is good except the antenna. It's leaking from the top. Think if I get new seals for that , if available and replace the mast it'll be good.

Re: Sunroof leaking

Well I really don't want to spend $45 from majestic Honda for the kit I need, can I get a plug from the parts store to block the antenna hole?
