IM NEW TO ALL OF THIS AND RECENTLY RECIEVED A 96' PRELUDE!

WITH A H23A1 AS A GIFT! I'VE ALWAYS BEEN INTERESTED IN THE RACING

SCENE! SO I WAS WONDERING WHAT WOULD BE SOME GOOD THINGS TO DO

TO MY LUDE! AS FAR AS PERFORMANCE AND MAKING IT LOOK CLEAN AND

AND SOUND GOOD? BAD THING IS ITS AN AUTO AND IMA BE USING IT AS A

DAILY DRIVER BUT PLAN ON GETTING A 5SPEED SOON! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

ALSO IT HAS SOME 18' RIMS ON IT RIGHT NOW WHAT DO U THINK WOULD BE GOOD SIZED RIMS AND TIRES?

I think you should rip the caps lock button off of your keyboard and burn it.

I'll tell you what nearly everyone on here will: Performance is useless without a 5 speed swap first.

Then, depending on your cash flow, you could do all sorts of things

Boosting is popular and the most bang for your buck.

You could also go N/A and do intake, header, exhaust, cams, high compression pistons, lightweight piston rods, dual valve springs, titanium spring retainers, 5 way valve job, lightweight flywheel, and a stage 1 clutch.

Each route has it's advantages and draw backs.

Re: 96" AUTOMATIC PRELUDE!

The 5speed swap is a great idea, but can be costly and problematic if not done right.

Then think about some simple bolt-ons if cash is tight. CAI, headers.

Maybe if you are thinking of the 5speed swap go for a H22 at the same time.

The main thing that will dictate which route you go with is the cash flow $$$$$.

Got any pics of your new ride? POST EM!!

Re: 96" AUTOMATIC PRELUDE!

If it's a daily, then the 5speed swap is not a real feasible option. Although well worth it, it puts your car out of commission for probably about 1 or 2 weeks, depending on how much time you have on your hands. Like 4gen said, its GOT to be done right. If this is your only car, then stick with the simple I/H/E….3" all the way back with the exhaust has proven gains. Intake, go with either a K&N short/cold air(Typhoon) or the AEM v2. Headers, look for some Hytech reps. Slap appropriately-sized wheels, such as 16 or 17's. Stick some pictures of it up here when you get a chance, and Godspeed with your future plans.

Re: 96" AUTOMATIC PRELUDE!

I wasn't wrong... You read it wrong. I meant that while performing the swap, you're going to need another daily. Unless you don't have a job or go to school and all you do is do the swap and you don't find a need to go anywhere. I wasn't saying it's dumb to have a 5 speed as your daily.... Far from it. But you said you weren't doing a swap, you were planning on buying a 5 speed, so it's a moot point.
