That Prelude looks great, first thing you should do if you get, rip that visor off.

and sell it to me!!

BTW: I think that is a great find. That 4th gen is nearly flawless exterior wise... I'd hop on it real quick if I had $4999

bring cash and you should be able to get them down at least 500

Re: is this a good find?

It does seem very clean and really taken care of. But a few things do jump out at me about this particular ad. Number one, It LOOKS like it has a fresh paint job, which can be indicative of a covered up wreck. Also, I notice paint chipping on the front, which is another clue that this is a fresh paint job. Paint chipping only occurs like that after a fresh paint job when the paint hasn't been allowed enough time to dry and someone goes out and drives it hard. Im not saying its definitely been in a wreck, but it is rare to find a car that old with that good looking paint. The second thing is, he says 32+ mpg. Well, thats not really the truth. Although I am a 5th gen guy myself, I checked it out on a couple sites, and 4th and 5th gens aren't that far off. Now, maybe since this one isn't VTEC, maybe it does get that good a gas mileage. But I think it gets around 24-29(real driving mpg). You 4thgener's can correct me if I'm wrong about that tho. Third, if you're a guy who really enjoys the "sunroof", you'll notice that the "sunroof" is not actually a sunroof. Yes, it opens, but I think the term isn't sunroof since it's not glass(just something to keep in mind, not really anything against the car). The next thing that kind of jumps out at me is the fact that this guy says that there has been no mods, and quite obviously, the exhaust and headunit have been changed out. And thats all I can see. The thing I don't see is the last thing. The first thing I would ask this guy is, How many miles are on this car? And don't let him tell you, "oh not much especially for how old the car is." Get a specific answer. Lastly, GET A VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT. The best, of course, is Carfax :) Godspeed with the decision, bro.

Re: is this a good find?

Yup the only thing that got me was that he didn't bother listing any info on the car mileage. HAHA that commercial "SHOW ME DAA CAAR FAXX" "oh we ran out"

Re: is this a good find?

Same on what westernprelude said, but if it were me, I would say walk away. Keep in mind a lot of people say I paid a lot for my 3rd gen! LOL For the money you can go h22 in your 3rd gen!

Re: is this a good find?

If that 3rd gen in the sig is yours, you keep it! (unless the car used to look that good)
5k for a cherry prelude is... OK, if your dead set on it. BY rule, dealerships cannot have any type of loan less than 3K, it might have been bumped up to $4,000 but that's the general rule so you are paying too much for it.

Re: is this a good find?

I wouldnt say its a good deal. If it has 100,000 miles or less +/-, I'd go 4000 if the history report checks out. But do you really want to pay $4000-5000 for a 1993?
