i wouldn't be proud to admit that in public. i had the h23a3 too (5 speed tho) and it was just as much doo-doo as the a1 (maybe that's what i get for buying $200 motors )

Woah woah. Calm down mr. or nobody will wanna answer your question.

I think that a dell would handle your h23 pretty well. Maybe an asus or something else. I would go to best buy and ask them. The geek squad are pretty smart ppl when it comes to cpu's

Lol. Coming from a person who spends his whole life on this site since 2006. I think that question should be directed to yourself. I just asked for advice. I didn't ask u to post smart ass **** in my thread...I just don't like nonsense especially from punk ass kids...

Re: Best transmission?

actually its the fact that i've been such a helpful and contributing member to the prelude community for the past 6 years that i've been given the honor and responsibility to watch over and help this site grow and thrive.
am i getting paid to deal with these bullshiit "what size rims should i get?" threads?? hell no! i'm volunteering my time to actually help others do what i also love to do.

if you don't like or can't deal with the occasional smartass' on the forums, well guess what? welcome to the internet, we're all e-thugs! if you don't like how this site is ran, feel free to leave, there's plenty of other MUCH worse sites out there!

Re: Best transmission?

Thank u for taking the time to explain. I can appreciate your dedication to this site and to Prelude enthusiasts. Besides a prelude enthusiast I'm also a baseball player so I do understand the razzing and I do have a sense of humor.

I give respect to u for your last reply and my bad for assuming u were just some smart ass kid. I totally understand dedicating a lot of time, not getting paid for or appreciated.

I've owned a Honda all my life from Accords, Civics etc but never owned a Prelude and by far I think their the best of all classes whether it's stick or automatic. I'm just proud to own one.

Now if u don't mind answering my? I'm leaning for LSD tranny...

Re: Best transmission?

Still think a dell would handle it.....jk.

Are you wanting a 5spd trans or a auto trans? Cos you said auto in the opening post of the thread but then said you want lsd. Im pretty positive that the only transmissions that come with lsd from honda are all 5spd.

Edit: I would go with a h23 for h22 5spd trans. If you want lsd then you can install an aftermarket lsd or get a oem lsd trans. Which would be something like the t2t4 or m2b4

Re: Best transmission?

I haven't decided yet. It depends on what kind of insurance settlement I get. Best possible scenario I will be swapping to 5 speed, worst leaving as is and just get a paint job and tranny. JDM Orlando sells LSD auto trannys for about $300-600 as well as eBay for H22s. Even though it sux being automatic it still is fast. What's the main difference between p13 vs p28?

Re: Best transmission?

The engines they came from, but the only difference in tuning ability is that one of them can control the iab's in a h22 intake manifold

Re: Best transmission?

p13 is the stock jdm h22a ecu, it'll do but it has a speed limiter and isn't tunable so meh oh that.

p28 and p72 are both widely used ecu's for tuning our h22 engines. They are both tunable but p72 is the one that controls the IABs. If you are staying N/A then I am of the belief that contolling IABs is important because even if you only get 2 more hp out of it 2hp n/a is worth it, if boost than you'll prolly gut the iabs anyway so not as necessary.

A good place to get a chipped ecu is phearable.net, you can also contact them with questions and they can help you pick the right ecu.

You need to figure out what tranny you're going to get before you decide about ecu's. I personally would not invest a dime in an automatic prelude, 5spd swap would be the 1st thing on my list and if there's more money left over that's nice.
