AEM Dual Chamber Intake System

Is it worth the extra bucks or should I just go for a different intake?

Re: AEM Dual Chamber Intake System

Did you have any problems with fitting it under your hood? The current intake I have now cause the hood to not be able to be completely flush on that side -.-

From what I've heard, the V2(the "dual chamber exhaust"'s more common name, in case you didn't know) is the best one out there...but it's much more expensive than the rest of those on the market. And all that for probably a max of 5 hp gain? So its up to you if you want to spend all that money on a bolt on part that will get you minimal hp gains.

Re: AEM Dual Chamber Intake System

^^^not even 5whp.

Op. If you wanna go for looks then yeah, get the aem v2. But if your only getting an intake strictly for performance, get a ebay cai for your car and a good filter. You'll make pretty much the same hp but save alot of money. Also you can look into bpi flowstacks.

Re: AEM Dual Chamber Intake System

Might sound retarded but I dont feel like droppin $$$ to have both a SRI and a CAI. I have a V2 but 2 diff kind of filters. During the winter I have a K&N filter but in the summer at times I'll change to a ebay filter but add an attachment hose similar to the one that is attached to a dryer to lead the hot air out the house. You attach that hose to the center part of the intake and let the hose hang through that hole where the stock intake would go through. So that the sides of the filter can intake the hot air within the engine bay area and still allow suction of cold air through that hose n up through the center of the filter.

Re: AEM Dual Chamber Intake System

IMO spending 200+ on an intake is retarded unless you have alot of money to blow. take that money buy skunk2 intake mani and new TB, slap on a ebay short ram and call it a day

No clearance issuses for me you might still have pieces of the stock intake that are underneath your intake. Which would propping it up it leads to the intake manifold. My v2 wouldn't have fit unless I removed it. It's like right next to the battery.
