Car is redline at 4000rpm

hey guys when i went to test drive my car it wouldnt rev past 4000 rpm and would bounce.
i did some research and they said the motor knows if there isnt enough oil in the car and wont rev any higher, but the dip stick shows that it is half full...
the car has a cel on because i used the f22a harness on the h22a motor.
could it be my ecu? i got a p13 with the swap i purchased, it also said to look at your throttle position sensor, how do you know if it is good or not?

Re: Car is redline at 4000rpm

well, whats the CEL for???

my guess is for the knock sensor since you for some reason used the f22 harness which doesn't have a KS on your h22.

Exactly... The ecu is setup with the knocksensor. And the harness does not have a KS plug. so.... Idk what you meant by wired straight to the ecu?

For sure check the code tho

Re: Car is redline at 4000rpm

it was throwing the vtec switch code #22. Would that have anything to do with it?
If i take my knock sensor out how do i know if it is good or not?
