depends on what year 4th gen you have.

if you have a 94-96 its for your foglight switch.

Re: Found this under cup holder in 4th gen.

remove the screw that you can see, pull that side, CAREFULLY, and you will have to pull out and to the side, and kind of fiddle the lock a little to get it to slide out nicely, then you will have enough slack to undo the harnesses. look for some on the forums in part outs and on ebay. good luck dude :D

I don't think it's fog lights. I've pulled codes before off my 96 and that's where my OBD2 port is. I'd double check that.

Wrong. OBD-II plugs are ALWAYS underneath the driver's side of the dash.

It may be a diagnostic plug, but not OBD-II.

Re: Found this under cup holder in 4th gen.

Yea so my obd is int the kick panel pass side console in 5G too. All I know is that plug on my 96 under cup holder I've plugged to obd2 code reading program and got legit readings when engine light is on?? Never seen a obd on the drivers side. Your car must be a knock off ;)

It was the same way in all of my S14s as well.

1) A 1992 Prelude isn't OBD-II compliant; your argument is invalid.

2) What kind of code reader? An OBD-II plug is a standardized plug, and that plug under the cup holder isn't one of them. Like I said, it may be a diagnostics plug, but not an OBD-II plug.

firstly, a 92 is OBD1.

secondly, you don't pull CEL codes with a code reader/scanner for OBD1 vehicles since they don't have that plug. you pull the codes with the paper clip method. so the fact that the questioning person asks where to plug a reader in for OBD1 is just plain retarded, as well as the person who attempted to give the correct answer.

thirdly, anyone can give answers on wiki, theres no credible sources of info. hell i could go on wiki and say JFK killed Abe Lincoln, and someone out there would believe me

^strong, strong bump LOL.

good info ITT though...so they come with these harnesses already, you just need to plug n play the actual module/foglights? Starting to do my own research on 4th gen fogs and this topic is a good start.
