direct swap?

so im buying an h22a engine for my 95 prelude. i found the perfect engine but before driving to the warehouse (two hours away) i would like to know if by buying an OBD2 Engine with Manual LSD Transmission, clutch, flywheel and half shaft, Starter and ECU would be straight swap? is all obd2 but mine is obd1 ive heard that as long as my ecu and tranny are also obd2 ill be fine is that true?

thank you in advance just want to double check before i go buy it in two weeks

Re: direct swap?

I did almost the same swap in my car and it's not a direct swap! I put a h23 bluetop in a 92 and kept the f22 tranny. I had to add a subharness for like 50 from rywire and a chipped p28 ecu from phearable for like 200. Swap out the injector plugs and buy a new fuel line (Cheaper than a new intake manifold). You also might have to take the motor mount off the drivers side of the motor that was originally in the car (Not the shock mount that bolts to the car). Make sure you really look into it before buying because it might cost you more than you're willing to spend. Good luck

Re: direct swap?

well it was either this or a turbo and i found the complete engine for 2600 im not keeping anything from my old one at all it even comes with axels and all those little extra things so in a way im saving money cuz the turbo was going to be a little over 4k after installing and tuning and since my old engine has only 35k i can sell it for like 800 with the trany so im looking around 3k after little miscellaneous here and there. thank you for your help though cuz i kept looking for an answer and coulndt find it.. ill put a complete list of the things that come with the new engine.
