Hood alignment help!

Hey guys need some help on aligning my hood and bumper. I recently took the bumper off and replaced the bumper beam. It was dented on top where the vent holder bolts to. So I replaced it and the hood and it's still a bit off. My radiator support is not bent at all. The right side of the hood (driver side) is almost flush but the left hangs about 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch over and there is about 1/4 of a gap between the hood and the bumper. I adjusted the runner stoppers but that wasn't it. I'm in need of some ideas thanks a bunch guys!!

Re: Hood alignment help!

Unbolt all 8 hood bolts and move it to your liking. Once you found a position you like re tighten all 8 bolts. It's easier with two people.

Re: Hood alignment help!

move your hood latch assembly down and then use your corner bumpers to adjust, and/or loosen the two nuts inside the engine bay and the four bolts through the front bumper that mount it to the body, and align from there. Helps to have someone holding it while doing this...good luck.

Great I'll be sure to try it today by the looks of it does it need to be pulled back a bit? And also what could be causing it to be pushed up about 1/4 of an inch?

Sounds good...so you think the latch assembly is what's causing it to
Stick up quite a bit?

Re: Hood alignment help!

well, obviously not being there, I dunno what's causing it, lol. but at least that way it will suck down your hood. You should be able to see if there is any room for movement in it by the slots the bolts go in (dont forget the 3rd one underneath)

Re: Hood alignment help!

Great suggestions guys!!! The latch is what really did the trick
It got it to about 98% back to normal.....the other 2% being the left side (passenger side) corner sticks up a tiny bit and the alignment of the hood and bumper is off about less than 1/4 of an inch to the left (the bumper is slightly off to the left) but you need to look really up closet to notice. I think I just need to work with the bumper a bit more. It's flush on the right but a tiny tiny off on the left but hey it looks alright from far lol here's some pics

And thought I'd throw this in lol got it at the junkyard for $7.50

Re: Hood alignment help!

so i scored a 92 lude off this high school kid, it was crashed from the front. the guy that fixed it did a good job but not the best job. Now their is a big gap between the hood of the car and the bumper. its about 3"-4" . any ideas on how to fix?

Re: Hood alignment help!

im going to try adjusting the hood and if that dont work im going to try adjusting the latch. and if that dont work then ima try adjusting the fenders and if that dont work ima look into gettin a different bumper kit.
