Icon10 Greetings!

Hello there. Yesterday I bought my first car! A Honda Prelude 2.0i (1993)! I've always had a thing for preludes since buying one on the original Gran Turismo back in the nineties and now I own one!

The funny thing is I don't even have a full UK driving licence yet! Got it fully insured yesterday though. Probably not the most sensible first car to buy but I completely fell in love with her and went with my heart and don't regret it.

As you can see from the pics she's in excellent condition for her age (both interior and exterior). No major mechanical issues with her (a few minor electronic ones).

Can't wait to take her out next week. First stop will have to be to the petrol station where fortunately they have paper towel dispensers at the pumps so I can dry my tears when I realise how much she costs to run!

Anyhoo...just thought I'd say hi.

Re: Greetings!

Hahaha, how much she cost to drive. I saved $750/mon when I switched from driving my Expedition to work to driving the Lude. I guess over seas most cars do have smaller engines than my nitro rc! Haha

Re: Greetings!

Thanks. She is a beautiful machine indeed. Even more special because she's my first car! I'm gonna change the timing belt because I don't know when it was last changed and there's 101k on the clock. Not the easiest of jobs but I'm confident I can get it done with a bit of help.

Re: Greetings!

It's actually an F20a4. I think the rims are just standard but im not too sure. Thinking of getting some black alloys later this year.

Re: Greetings!

I dunno. I'm tempted to 'pimp' her up but I'm also tempted to keep her original. I want alloys for performance reasons more than anything so I'll probably start there and just keep adding something new every now and then. :)
