junkyard trip

wanted to go to the junkyard to find some accord lip
but ended up finiding a Oem fog light w/ 92-93 tweeter foglight switch. = )

ended up with 2 pairs of 97 4 door accord sides skirt ,94 accord rear lip , 4 upper control arm ball joint , external ignition coil , 2 pairs of accord front and rear mudguard for 20$

actually my buddy paid for evrything so even better.lol
. now just need 92-95 civic yellow bulb to get the full effect.
heres some pics

gave my buddy my 94 accord front lip

not bad for free!!

Re: junkyard trip

They don't have a single 4th gen within about 200 miles of me that's worth getting any parts from. I got a notification from a local yard that one had come in, so a couple days later I woke up super early and drove all the way there with tools and such, only to find a Prelude that looked like the Hulk had punted the b!tch. Sadly, no parts. It was a 92 F22 Automatic model with blue interior. Not a single part on the car was useful. lol. Even the tail lights were junk. They had massive silver overspray on them.

Re: junkyard trip

So you trim the sideskirts to fit the curve of the mudflaps? I've been trying to find some simple, yet not oem, sideskirts.

haha, alot of people do that here at pull a part. I've been walking around and see 240 pignose bumpers fly over the fence, lol.

And I'd like to see the sideskirts when they're finished. What are you going to do about the extra length?

Lol.. Yeah I've got a lot of free stuff from HPC lol

I remember seeing mugen pedals in a 4th gen a long time ago at a local junk yard.. They car look like it had been hit by a train for real and I just could take them bc I know for a fact that someone died in it..

Re: junkyard trip

junkyard 2 miles down the road from my house has a 4th gen with an H23 motor in it. He's got an H22 that they had to cut out of a 5th gen that decided that it would race a train and lost. both were damn good prices. I'm gonna go check out the H22 in a couple of weeks when I have some cash.

But my steal of the day, one piece JDM headlights. Got em for 60 bucks. He didnt understand why I was trying so hard to get these headlights (it took me over an hour and a half cuz I had never pulled a bumper and such off a lude). He came out to see what I was doing and then researched the headlights and realized the deal he had already told me at 30 bucks a pop was a mistake lol.
