Ignition wire problem

Okay, so for some reason my car--'93 Lude v-tec model, has ignition wires where the boot that snaps onto the spark plugs, is longer than the ones that i got from autozone and advance auto. I asked them for vtec model wires and yet the original ignition wires in the car (the boot) is longer than those from AZ and AA, by a half-inch. I am not sure what kind of wires will match the length of the orginal ones in the car. I don't think the owners changed the head or anything, i'm not sure if i am suppose to get the h23 ignition wires because it would have (assuming) the bigger engine meaning longer ignition boots?? has anyone have this problem when changing the ignition wires??? THanks in advance.

Re: Ignition wire problem

If they don't fit take them back and get OEM ones or NGK's online.

Re: Ignition wire problem

Have you test fit them? As long as the wires snap down securely over the plugs on once end and the distributor on the other, a difference in the length of the rubber boot doesn't matter.

IIRC, the wires for the H22 and H23 are the same.
