Great day with the lude

Well today I set out to flush my radiator, put in a new thermostat, put new red silicon hoses on and clean out my aicv because of an idle issue. The flush went good, the hoses were okay, the top hose on the h23 isn't like the h22 hoses that I bought. I had to cut it and bend it in a way it really didn't want to go, but there is still plenty of room in the hose for the coolant. Now on to the aicv. Got it off just fine, the screen was pretty bad. I tried to get the housing apart and it just wasn't gonna happen. It has these screws in it that look almost like a phillips head, but only 3 slashes instead of the normal 4 so I just had to spray the crap out of it with brake cleaner, then I put in new lines and bolted it back up. Idle problem solved, heat problem solved, and the engine runs and idles like new now. One problem though, watch out for a new thread on changing out a radiator and electric fans with some good pics. My radiator has seen alot better days.

Well, I felt something was missing after changing out the radiator hoses so I ended up painting the valve cover today. Next is a Megan header and Injen intake. Here's the end result

As you can see, I still have a long way to go. The radiator hose clamps will be changed out when the new ones get delivered

Re: Great day with the lude

Oh don't worry, that thing will look brand new when I'm done. I should post photos of the whole car so I can show all the progress. I have ordered all of the door moldings, all window moldings, put the 5th gen moon roof in, 5 lug conversion sitting in the garage and a new paint job and body work next spring. I'm gonna do the body work last with the moldings and at that time I'm pulling the engine for clean up and some nice performance upgrades. I just got the car about a month ago. LED and EL cluster conversion, RSX-S leather seats and leather rear seats first.
