Icon5 is my cv axle broken

so this problem just started its a 1992 prelude h22 engine and when im driving theres a loud clicking noise but when i accelerate or broke the noise stops and when i coast even in neutral there is a loud and disturbing clicking noise. my friend said it might be my axle any ideas if this is right??

does it do this only when you accelerate forward?? or when you turn?

No I will stop making the noise when I accelerate it's only when I stop accelerating and coast when the noise continues. And it does it even when I'm

My car actually was doing this same thing the other day. If I coasted it made a sound like something was hitting against something each rotation of the wheel. If I accelerated or braked hard(ish) it would stop.

Come to find I had like 3 lug nuts loose on my front driver's wheel. Tightened them down and all better.

x2. i lowered my car more last summer. forgot to totally tighten left front side. exact same symptoms. def check on that
