H22 V-TEC connection in a 92' Prelude

Hello everyone. I finally got my h22 in my 92 Prelude. I have a p13 ecm and am not sure what pin connector I need to hook the v tec sylnoid too. If any one can direct me to the thread for this or just let me know that would be great. Thanks,

Re: H22 V-TEC connection in a 92' Prelude

why not just switch out the wire harness from the vtec to the new one?

Re: H22 V-TEC connection in a 92' Prelude

Because 92 didnt come prewired for vtec on the chassis harness and yes the obd1 diagram is correct, don't make it harder on self an just run two wires from the fire wall and ground you oil pressure switch (pins are a4 and d6)

Re: H22 V-TEC connection in a 92' Prelude

The car I took the obd1 H22 motor out of was a 96 obd2 prelude. They had the conversion harness hooked up to the ecm. The 96 was made with the h23. So there are lots of wires that have been rerouted and are not connected.

I was just wondering the process that I have to take to hook up the vtec sylnoid.

Alright. heres what I think I understand. Connect pin a4 to the vtec sylnoid. Connect D6 to the ground. What about a26? This is the v tec pressure switch ground. Do I need to do anything to this pin or is it already grounded?

Re: H22 V-TEC connection in a 92' Prelude

Oil pressure switch has two wires one red one black ground your black an the other wire goes to the ecu d6

There is no a26

Big question what ecu are you running obd1 or obd2 p13?
