Vtec rotor swap question

so im gonna get an h22a in the near future, at the current time i have an H23 Dohc motor and i wanna upgrade to the Vtec rotors so that way its not to hard on my brakes when i do the engine swap. i know the Vtec rotors are bigger than the non vtecs

My question is, What do i need to do the vtec rotor swap and are the Vtec rotors 5 lug only??

Re: Vtec rotor swap question

if your going to change your brakes out, i would just do the 5 lug swap with the 5g. but if your really concerned about not being able to stop, dont worry man, you'll be fine with the brakes you have now. if your wanting something just a little bit better and give yourself something to do, then do the swap.

and if your just looking for an easy upgrade then go with the 94-96 vtec brakes
1) rotors
2) calipers

Re: Vtec rotor swap question

items you need are:
-2 front vtec rotors (for 93-96 prelude vtec's, 4 lug)
-2 front vtec calipers (i bought oem rebuilds from autozone and gave back my smaller si's as core)
-2 front caliper brackets (from 93-96 prelude vtec's)
-2 front stainless steel brake lines (mind as well upgrade while they're unbolted anyway ;)
-dot3 brake fluid for bleeding the system when everything is back together

You can use calipers and brackets from 93-01 Prelude VTEC, Base, or SH. I'm not even sure the calipers are really different. I know the brackets are. But all 92+ Prelude front calipers use the same size piston

Re: Vtec rotor swap question

Listen to elude and invader. New lines aren't needed just suggested. I used the factory lines.
