ok, i have a h22a with about 60xxx miles on it, and i was wondering do i (really) need to put all new val train stuff in my head for it to work. or will it work just fine with the stock val train. and i know i need to get it tuned after i do it. but could some one tell me..

like after you put in cams.....? if so, then yes...or you're just asking for trouble. many will say Stage1 there is no need to, or with TypeS, but A: if I'm gonna tune in new cams I'm probably gonna go bigger than Stage1, and B: new springs/retainers are a lot cheaper than a trashed motor....just my $0.02

thanks, your 2 cents is appreciated. im trying to get the most hp out of my car with out rebuilding the whole engine, and this prelude is my only car for now. so im trying to at-least get it done over the week end.

my other $0.02...save up...and buy another head, build that one...swap 'em out over the weekend, then sell your stock one.

Good idea I was going to do the same thing but im just going to get a H22 for awhile and build a G23 turbo over a year or 2 and swap it in on the weekend
