Re: Prelude Ebay Dyno'd ECU's?

How are they going to dyno tune an ecu for you just based off of what you tell them?

They would have to have your engine there to get it 100% correct.
Every engine is different... even if they have all the same modifications.

Exactly. They can make u a base map but thats it timing and fuel will be different on every engine. Phearable can make a base chipped ecu. I still wouldnt be ideal to run it to long if you want peak performance

Phearable.net - Electronic Fuel Injection Tuning Solutions - Hondata, Neptune, Crome, Uberdata, Ectune, AEM, Honda Tuning, Widebands, Fuel Pumps, Intercoolers, Turbos, LS/VTEC, ECU Chipping, Chipped Ecus, P28

They made me a p28 with a base map for my stock h22a.

Great company to deal with and a good price if you ask me.

I would stay away from anything like that on ebay. just my .02. Phearable is very reputable tho.

Re: Prelude Ebay Dyno'd ECU's?

It would really depend in the rep of the company doing the work.

It's not something were used to because preludes have little aftermarket support but any current production vehicle that people pay to modify has pretuned ecus or piggyback systems. From Subaru to Super Dutys. They aren't 100% perfect but they are pretty damn good.

Re: Prelude Ebay Dyno'd ECU's?

I remember once a friend bought a Mines pretuned ECU for his Evo. The car it was tuned for had a certain CAI and cat back exhaust, so he bought the same ones in an attempt to bring his engine up to the same standard.

He then made less power than stock.

In all honestly, it could possibly work. Though at best you're on a cheap and nasty band aid solution.
