a little help please...

So I've had this oil leak since I've had this car. About 4 months. I changed the VC gasket thinking that was the problem but still leaks. If your looking at the motor from front, its the rear left side of the HEAD. It leaks a decent little puddle every night. /:

PS. sorry about the pictures weird ways.

Re: a little help please...

Looks like it is coming form the cam seal. Remove the coil (3 10mm bolts, dont loose the washers behind the coil) and look at the rubber plug between the valve cover and the head. If oil is coming from there then replace it. There is a write up in the DIY section for replacing the seal. ENG: 4th gen -DIY Replacing Cam Plug

Re: a little help please...

i had the same leak when i first bought my car but it wasnt nearly as bad as you described yours to be. do yourself a favour and buy an aftermarket cam seal because the replacment honda seal will just leak like the one you have now.

Can I use a cam seal specified for the h22 on my h23?

Re: a little help please...

The part numbers for the h22 cam seal and the h23 cam seal are different, I would want to be sure and get the right part for your motor

Re: a little help please...

from what Ive seen online, theres no difference between an h22 and h23 cam seal. i believe that one seal works for all h-series motors but dont hold me accountable
